The party’s national secretary, Iyiola Omisore, was also replaced by his deputy Festus Fuanter, Mr Kyari told journalists on Monday, according to The Cable.

Mr Adamu’s resignation was announced Monday. The former Nasarawa governor did not support President Bola Tinubu to be the party’s flagbearer in the 2023. He backed former Senate president Ahmad Lawan instead.

The first public indication the former chairman had a difficult relationship with officials of his party emerged two weeks ago when he disclosed that he was no consulted before the appointment of the party’s leaders in the National Assembly.
