Dana Airline says it will reward Hilda Baci, the Nigerian chef who on Sunday set a new Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, with free air tickets for one year.
The airline said it will also give Hilda’s mother free air tickets for three months.
The tickets cover only domestic travels, the firm said on Twitter.

Hilda Baci, also known as Hilda Bassey Effiong, embarked on her culinary journey in 2020 under the brand name @Myfoodbyhilda.
On May 11, she began her quest to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon, which was previously held by India’s Lata Tandon.
The record stood at 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 seconds. Hilda Baci’s marathon took place at Amore Gardens in Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria and concluded on May 14.
In an impressive feat, Hilda Baci surpassed the current world record by cooking continuously for 100 hours, thereby securing the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking hours by an individual.
Throughout the marathon, she live-streamed the event on multiple social media channels, showcasing her culinary skills by preparing over 250 recipes.

Guiness World Record holders do not receive any monetary reward from the organization but can gain from endorsements and sponsorships from other entities and individuals.
Dana Airline said its decision to support Hilda Baci and her mother reflects the company’s commitment to championing the arts, entertainment industry, and the achievements of Nigerian youths.
“We have always blazed the trail in terms of support for the arts and entertainment industry, health care and culture,” Ememobong Ettete, Dana’s chief operating officer, said.
